It all depends on how you look at it. Taking a job in risky field, and just doing what everyone else is doing is risky. Taking a &quot;risky&quot; job, and becoming great at it, isn&#039;t so risky. If you work hard to be great at what you do, periods of unemployment won&#039;t be a problem. Of course, a lot easier said then done.</description>

		<description>Very nice advice. Though I question #6 helping me be poor.  I think I understand what you are saying, but really I disagree.  I think that might stop me from being as poor as those that take jobs without security and have far more periods of unemployment in their careers.  Yes, to be poor, taking jobs with little chance of upward mobility and staying in them forever is a good strategy.  But it is also a good strategy to take risky jobs that leave you with lots of periods of unemployment which help you with a lot of the other points, like spending more than you earn, not saving money etc.</description>
