My 2011 Goals

It’s Christmas Eve. No heavy reading today.

Just wanted to let you know what I’m up to for 2011. (Actually, I’m just playing it cool. I’m about to make public some Big Hairy Audacious Goals for 2010. I’m making these public as an incentive to succeed. Even though it’s out of my comfort zone to do so.)

  1. Hike the Sacred Trail of Machu Picchu
  2. Max out 2 Roth IRA’s
  3. Develop four revenue streams for Gen Y Wealth (consulting, membership, and 2 informational products)
  4. Help Natalie, my wife whose last day of her job is Friday, start a business that replaces her old salary
  5. Complete reading list of Personal MBA
  6. Work with a writing mentor
  7. Work with a business consultant

What are your goals for 2010?

###

Hope you and your family have a great Christmas holiday. I can’t thank you enough for being part of the community here at Gen Y Wealth.

Things here are just getting warmed up.  Can’t wait to tell you more about what’s to come.

1- Run a 5K (actually, this isn’t THAT big and hairy, maybe I should make that a half marathon)
2- make money from one of my hobbies
3- Update blog weekly
4- Become a flyer on the cheer squad
5- develop at least 5 new earthenware glazes (I’m a ceramics student)

My goals for 2011 are in tune with my life goals. They focus on Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship. I further break down my goals into the specific tactics that I plan to use to reach my goals. That way, I stay focused on the end objective – rather than the details, which can change through the year.

@Eric, Ru, Matt, and Chris

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like all of you have similar goals in life than myself.

Good luck to everyone in 2011.

You got some great goals, but the one i really want to follow is the Machu Picchu trail. My goals will be published this Friday but are not as exciting.
